Discover Abacos Island - 7 Day Cruise

Arrival - Your Adventure Begins in Marsh Harbour

The journey starts the moment you touch down! We recommend arriving on Friday, one day before we cast off, giving you time to settle in and switch to "island time."

Flying to the Abacos is simple, with Marsh Harbour International Airport (MHH) served by several major and regional airlines. Once you land, leave the logistics to us—we will arrange for a private taxi to whisk you directly to the marina. Step aboard and spend your first night on the yacht, so you wake up refreshed, acclimated, and ready to set sail the next morning.

** Note: We can arrange for a hotel room at the Marina or nearby for those who do not wish to stay on board Friday night, at an extra charge. **

Day 1 - Great Guana Cay

Our adventure begins with a scenic 2-hour and 15-minute sail to Great Guana Cay, one of the most beloved spots in the Abacos. Though only seven miles long, this "out island" gem is home to a breathtaking 5.5-mile stretch of white sand beach that rivals any in the world.

Reefs & Relaxation: Great Guana Cay offers the perfect mix of underwater exploration and shoreside fun. Snorkel the vibrant coral reefs just off the beach, then head ashore to experience the island’s legendary hospitality. We will visit the iconic Nipper’s Bar & Grill (famous for its multi-level deck and Sunday pig roasts) and Grabbers Bed, Bar & Grill for sunset cocktails. Whether you are looking for a party or a hammock in the shade, Great Guana Cay delivers.

Day 2 - Manjack Cay

Discover the Untouched: An Uninhabited Cay: Escape to a pristine, uninhabited island where the only soundtrack is the rhythm of ocean waves brushing against white sand beaches. This hidden gem offers a rare opportunity to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature.

Snorkeling & Wildlife Encounters: Your day here is fueled by adventure. Take a short dinghy ride to vibrant offshore reefs or paddle through the tranquil mangroves, where sea turtles and colorful fish glide through the clear water. For the bold, a visit to the northernmost cove offers the thrill of spotting sharks and stingrays in their natural habitat.

Evening Serenity: After a day of exploration, return to the yacht for a delicious dinner served on deck. The lack of light pollution here makes for a spectacular night sky—perfect for cocktails, card games, and stargazing in absolute peace.

Day 3 - Green Turtle Cay

Where History Meets Paradise: North of Marsh Harbour, embraced by jade-green seas, lies the picturesque Green Turtle Cay. This island is the perfect midpoint for your Abacos adventure, where natural beauty and colonial charm converge. We will explore the inviting harbors of Black Sound and White Sound, sampling the delectable offerings of local restaurants and soaking in the relaxed atmosphere.

A Step Back in Time: Beyond its beauty, Green Turtle Cay holds a captivating story. Like many parts of The Bahamas, it became a sanctuary for British Loyalists fleeing after the American Revolution. These early settlers are honored today in the Memorial Sculpture Garden, where bronze statues commemorate their journey and enduring legacy. It is a place where you can walk through history before diving back into the turquoise water.

The island offers extra provisions, museums, shopping, and an evening dinner at The Green Turtle Club. Rental golf carts and bikes are available for the day.

Day 4 - Hope Town

Elbow Cay: History, Heritage, and High Tides: Elbow Cay offers the perfect blend of Bahamian history and modern island fun. From the historic streets of Hope Town to the pristine sands of Tahiti Beach, this is a cruiser’s paradise.

Adventures by Land & Sea: One of the best ways to explore the island is by renting a golf cart! Zip through the streets to visit eclectic shops, or head south to White Sound for fine dining at the famous Firefly Resort and Abaco Inn. For water lovers, the anchorage at Tahiti Beach is a yachting highlight—step off the boat onto a stunning tidal sandbar that disappears with the tide.

Step Back in Time: No trip to Elbow Cay is complete without climbing the iconic candy-striped Elbow Reef Lighthouse for the most extraordinary views in the Abacos. Afterward, immerse yourself in local lore at the Wyannie Malone Museum. It pays homage to the town’s founder, who fled South Carolina during the American Revolution in 1785 to establish this unique settlement.

Dining & Nightlife: End your day with a lively meal at Cap’n Jacks, or enjoy a sunset cocktail at one of the resorts. Whether you are snorkeling, shopping, or diving into history, Elbow Cay delivers an unforgettable experience.

We will use this stop to replenish our fresh water supply.

Day 5 - Little Harbor

Enjoy a relaxing sail across the bay to Ruskin’s Resort & Club at Little Harbor, a Caribbean-style oasis featuring its own private beach and full-service marina. Once docked, the day is yours to design. Take a dip in one of three heated pools, cast a line off the 250-foot fishing pier, or satisfy your need for speed with a wave runner rental or guided jet ski tour. As the sun sets, unwind Adirondack-style around a private fire pit with breathtaking views of Tampa Bay.

Nature & Fine Dining: For a touch of wildlife exploration, we can head just northwest to Tampa Electric’s Manatee Viewing Center at Apollo Beach (open during winter months). This protected marine reserve features a boardwalk, butterfly garden, and a 50-foot observation tower perfect for spotting gentle manatees.

Cap off your day of discovery with a superior dining experience at Circles, Tampa’s most storied and award-winning waterfront restaurant.

Day 6 - Lanyard Cay

A Sanctuary of Solitude: Escape to the tranquility of this slender cay, a hidden gem offering perfect protection from the Atlantic swells and eastern trade winds. Here, the world slows down. The protected waters provide a calm, safe harbor, making it the ideal setting for a day of pure relaxation.

Sun, Sand, and Stars: Ashore, the undeveloped landscape invites you to unwind. Spend the afternoon beach-combing along the pristine shoreline or simply basking in the sun. As night falls, the lack of development reveals this cay’s true magic: unmatched solitude under a breathtaking canopy of stars.

Dinner will be served on board this evening.

Day 7 - Man-O-War Cay

A Legacy of Craftsmanship: Step ashore at Man-O-War Cay, a quiet, industrious community where the heartbeat of the Bahamas’ maritime history still thrives. With a population of just 200, this settlement feels like a step back in time. Since 1820, the locals have turned from farming to the art of boatbuilding, a tradition that gave rise to the world-famous Albury Brothers boats and the handcrafted Abaco Dinghy.

Explore & Unwind: Wandering the village on foot is a delight. We recommend visiting the renowned Albury’s Sail Shop (famous for their canvas bags) and touring the Albury Brothers Boatbuilding Factory to see master craftsmen at work.

While the settlement maintains its tradition as a "dry" island (no alcohol is sold), you are welcome to enjoy your own sundowners aboard the yacht after a day of exploration. Be sure to grab some fresh conch fritters at a local dockside eatery and visit the stunning white-sand beaches on the Atlantic side for a truly relaxing escape. Our evening will conclude with packing up the boat for the return to port in the morning.
